That being said, I look at the size of this beast my mom’s neighbor has and I cringe. I don’t think I’ll ever be a big bike guy. The more I ride, the more I like how light and nimble the Ninja 400 is.
I remain happy about this purchase, despite the fact that it is going to be a bitch to ride on the long trip home. Exhausting, but fun. I took a nice ride up the coast yesterday.

1200gs actually feels surprisingly light and nimble. Adventure bikes feel much closer to sport bikes than you might expect. Check out a demo day sometime. The big draw for them is carrying capacity and long range comfort while still being fun.

I’ve usually found myself wishing I was on a Ninja ZX6 instead of the full 1000, but after ripping all the fairings off it feels way more nimble and maneuverable .

I second this, i test rode a super Tenere and was blown how nimble it behaved.
